During SMACK/URL’s “Rookies vs. Vets” event last month, BattleRap.com caught up with comedian Jack Thriller to get the latest on his playful beef with Smack White.
The build-up for a supposed battle helped drive promotion ahead of the event, though the two didn't end up squaring off.
After the potential match-up got both fans and battlers talking, it felt like everyone on the URL roster got involved in the feud.
When BattleRap.com’s editor-in-chief Chris Mitchell spoke with Thriller at the March 28 event, the comedian revealed why he was in the building.
“Man, I’m just here spectating the sport and whatnot. Taking it to another level and trying to infiltrate, I’m trying to infiltrate, man,” he says. “I’m trying to get in where I fit in. And, I might be battling Smack. I might be battling Smack tonight.”
When asked if the rumors were true, Jack replied: “Aye, man, only time will tell who dies.”
When asked which of the two would be the veteran, Thriller replied: “I mean, it depends on who you ask ... On his stage, [Smack’s] the vet, ‘cause this SMACK, I’m on his stage. On my stage in my mind, ‘cause my mind is my stage, I would say I’m the vet. It’s really vet vs. vet.”
And of course, no interview is complete without some trash talk.
“I may not beat yo’ ass, but you gon’ know you was in a muthafuckin’ fight, nigga. Real talk,” Jack Thriller says. “You gon’ watch me smack it on Smack on SMACK.”
