Following his mid-card battle against Pnut at King Of The Dot’s “Back To Basics” event this past weekend, Xcel spoke with BattleRap.com about his opponent’s performance, as well as his plans for the next few months.
Xcel started off by commenting on his first appearance on the West Coast.
“The West Coast is great,” he says. “You got great weather, great weed, good vibes, fun times. Everybody reacted to the bars. It’s different [but] it’s definitely fun. It’s poppin’ over here.”
Later in the conversation, Xcel praised his opponent’s performance, specifically citing a bar Pnut spat in the third round.
“He’s good. He probably had the most angles. His third round was crazy … Pnut nice.”
“I study my opponent,” Xcel adds. “I don’t care what it is, if you up against me I’ma study you, research you and see what you do. I don’t like to do the whole, ‘Oh I’m not gonna watch this nigga,’ I watch everybody.”
Xcel took to Twitter following his clash to further praise and thank Pnut for an entertaining battle.
