During SMACK/URL’s “Rookies vs. Vets” event last month, BattleRap.com chopped it up with Queen Of The Ring’s frontman Debo to get the details on everything going on with North America’s leading female battle league.
First off, Debo did a little promotional work for QOTR’s upcoming “Panic Room 3” event going down in New York next month.
“Panic Room 3, man. May 17. That’s the official date,” Debo says. “It’s not going to change. Get your tickets, get your plane, make all of your accommodations.”
Later in the conversation, Debo offered some expert knowledge on what it takes to create an exciting and entertaining battle rap event.
“I’m gonna give a couple of people some truths if you’re starting battle rap,” Debo says. “It’s about juggling all types of entertainment. It’s about [having] a battle that’s about bars [and] another battle that’s about entertainment. It’s different battles that you put all together to make a dope card. So that’s what we doing, man. We just bringing out the entertainment part.”
In other QOTR news, Debo announced that the league is putting the infrastructure in place for a U.K. division as well as creating another one in Atlanta.
