Lush One Previews "MASSacre," Talks KOTD Relationship

EXCLUSIVE: Lush one also reveals who he believes deserves the next KOTD title shot.

During the second part of BattleRap.com’s exclusive interview with Lush One, the Fresh Coast ambassador chopped it up with us about a variety of topics surrounding King Of The Dot’s upcoming “MASSacre” event scheduled to go down on May 16 in Holyoke, Mass.

Opening up about the event, Lush One predicts it’s going to be the hottest card of 2015.

“I’m excited,” Lush says. “The entire King Of The Dot team was involved and me being the point man and primary host, me and Nikiya [Osborn] have been conceiving this event for quite some time but it’s awesome to have the whole KOTD team in the mix. In my opinion, it’s the hottest card of the year and we’re gonna see it come to life.

“We wanna see Pat [Stay] versus Calicoe, right? Everybody wanna see that,” Lush One adds. “There’s so many dope battles. Conceited versus Chilla Jones. The whole card is bonkers. Nikiya did an amazing job with King Fly and KOTDTV.com doing the whole pay-per-view side of things. It’s amazing.”

Similar to Teddy Grizzle for “Duel In The Desert” and "Battle Of The Bay 7," KOTD have partnered with a third-party in Nikiya Osborn to help orchestrate the event. With BOTB7 having high-profile non-payment issues, Lush One went on to outline the differences between Nikiya and Teddy Grizzle.

“Teddy Grizzle was like 14-years-old,” Lush says. “He was spending his Grandmother’s inheritance money and all that shit. Nikiya is a dude that knows what’s up. He’s not here to cat off his money. We worked on that project together from the beginning, from its conception, since literally July/August of last year so there’s been a lot of thought that’s gone into this. He has deeply rooted, personal relationships with a lot of people and I helped him orchestrate everything and now it’s in the hands of King Of The Dot. Avocado is shooting and doing everything. It’s not even in the same category as anything that Teddy did.”

Lastly, when asked about who he believes deserves the next King Of The Dot title shot, Lush One pointed to a number of battlers who have impressed on the KOTD stage as of late.

“If I’ma keep it a stack, Illmaculate and Rone are the two next in line,” he says. “Caustic [is] up there. [Bigg] K [is] up there. You could say DNA [is] up there even though his performances within King Of The Dot haven’t been as good as outside of it recently. Danny Myers even got a shot too.”

“MASSacre” will have a live pay-per-view hosted by BattleRap.com's Chris Mitchell and Dirtbag Dan. You can purchase that here.

The event goes down on May 16 at the Waterfront Tavern in Holyoke, Mass. That's the same venue that hosted 413 Battle League's "Superbowl III" event on Jan. 30.
