Pat Stay & Calicoe Recap Their "MASSacre" Battle

Pat Stay and Calicoe explain their tension at KOTD's latest event.

KOTD's "MASSacre," the league's first event in the Eastern U.S., was a success this past weekend, with the last-minute changes made to card turning out surprisingly well.

While it didn't develop into any form of violence, the headline battle between Pat Stay and Calicoe did feature some physical tension. At different points in the battle, both Pat and Calicoe had to keep their entourages from getting involved.

After the event both Pat and Calicoe spoke about the battle and what was behind their onstage tension. Check out our interview with Pat Stay and Calicoe's recap with 15 Minutes Of Fame below that.

Pat Stay Explains Diffusing Onstage Tension

While Pat played down Calicoe's physicality in the match-up afterwards, he says his brother was ready to pounce at different points.

"They're about their shit but like not for real," Pat said of Calicoe and his entourage. "Here's the thing, I'll tell you what I was worried about. Is this gonna be on BattleRap.com? I mean this in the realest way, I don't talk shit. My brother behind me — did you see when Calicoe got in his face and he said, 'You're a fucking pussy?' Right in his fucking face. Here's the thing, I've had to stop him a million times. My brother Peter, I really mean this, my brother Peter would have beat the fucking shit out of all five of them at once. If you watch me on your camera I turn around, every second I'm like, 'Don't do it.'"

Despite the tension, Stay also said that he didn't prepare heavily or take the battle too seriously.

"I know everybody thinks differently but I didn't take this battle seriously," he said. "I don't know him very well. All I had was like, raps. My first round was like personal and dug into who actually he is as a person. I should have came better. Obviously I won, I think everybody in the world says I won. I don't see it as a victory...I was just rapping, [as opposed to] actually talking to my man. Talking to him, like, 'This is who you are. You have a birthmark on your fucking hamstring, and that's ugly.'"

Calicoe: "Ain't No Respect For The Disrespectful"

"Ain't no respect for the disrespectful," Calicoe told 15MOFE after the event. "I don't care what y'all niggas think of me. I don't care if you think I punked Pat or shouldn't did [what I did]. I don't give a fuck what y'all think. Ain't no respect for the disrespectful.

Calicoe then references Pat's 2011 KOTD battle against Marv Won in Toronto, where Pat insulted Marv's autistic brother. "That nigga disrespected one of my brothers so it's no respect for him. You make my brother feel uncomfortable across your border, I'ma make you feel uncomfortable across my border. Wherever you wanna go from there, let's do it."

"He talked about, 'his autistic brother,'" Calicoe said. "That's not nothing to talk about in a battle. That's not nothing to talk about in a battle ... I don't like all that shit. Talking about kicking his wheelchair and all that. I don't like all that. I'll go there with anybody that's getting on tip with me like that. I don't like that. My mom's paralyzed. My mom's been paralyzed since I was two years old. All y'all niggas know that. Don't speak on my mama. Flat out."
