Don't Flop Announces Full Chicago Card

The British Invasion continues with stops in Chicago, Detroit and D.C.

Don't Flop continues its stateside expansion with a U.S. tour that will bring the British league to Chicago, Detroit and Washington, D.C. this summer. This is the league's second American tour in a little more than three months, with the last one producing some incredible content and a minor scandal.

The Chicago event goes down June 20, and then will be followed by Detroit on June 27 (co-promoted by Marv Won and Quest MCODY) and D.C. on July 5. So far only the Chicago lineup has been officially released. Here it is:

  • Hitman Holla & Aye Verb vs. DNA & K-Shine
  • Big Kannon & Young Kannon vs. Real Deal & Fresco
  • Caustic vs. Big T
  • Quill vs. Rum Nitty
  • Klutch vs. Rusty Chains
  • Megadef vs. Infared Da General
  • Streetwise vs. Trim Forte
  • Nface vs. KT Da Titan

The card is a mix of big names and relative unknowns, and continues the comeback of 2-on-2 battles. Hitman Holla was in Atlanta to see K-Shine & DNA partner up against John John Da Don & Syahboy and was clearly inspired to team up with Aye Verb.

The Two Kannons (a name I just coined for them) will take on the throwback team of Real Deal & Fresco, and Caustic follows up his Arsonal battle with a match-up against hometown favorite Big T. Rum Nitty makes his debut for the league against U.K. emcee Quill, who is himself making his American debut in what should be a bar-heavy battle.

On the undercard, Klutch and Megadef are recognizable names, and a few of the others have made appearances in smaller leagues like Colorado Raps, AHAT Texas and No Coast.

The event goes down June 20 from noon to 7:00 p.m. at Grandbar, 1600 W Grand Ave. in Chicago. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door.

BattleRap.com should be in the building for this one so stay tuned for our coverage.
