Music Of The Month: Calicoe, Arsonal, Henry Bowers

Our monthly round-up of the best music from the world of battle rap.

With almost half the year and a handful of major events behind us in 2015, BattleRap.com is back with a highlight reel of the month's best music from the battle rap ranks.

Over the month we saw Calicoe join forces with Snoop Dogg in the studio for "We Up," Conceited recap the NBA Finals in rap form, Dumbfoundead go kind of wild in his new video, and way more.

Calicoe feat. Snoop Dogg - "We Up"

After getting a big look in Snoop's "Gladiator School" last year, Calicoe tapped the relationship for a feature and has one of the most accessible tracks of the month. Smartly, Cal allows the collab to center a Snoop-friendly West Coast g-funk synth at the bottom end and the Cali icon shows up in tune. Check out the very blunted in-studio video below.

Conceited - 2015 NBA Finals Freestyle

A reference-heavy retread of this year's pretty absurd NBA Finals series. As ever, Conceited brings the one-liners and runs through some of the best and funniest moments of the Cavs vs. Warriors showdown.

Woollard & Marlo - "Hot New Barz"

"Ayo it's Woollard and Marlow," a pretty amped up Woollard says at the beginning of "Hot New Barz" before clarifying that they're also Shuffle-T and Marlo. "You miss us? This is our comeback track and we got some shit to say." Mostly about how Shuffle is not, in fact, the Queen.

Henry Bowers - "Stealin' Cookies"

It's been a while since we've seen Henry Bowers in a battle, but he's been away for the right reasons. Check out "Stealin' Cookies" below.

Micky Worthless vs. Eurgh

"A song by Funzo and Leanne about Micky Worthless calling out Eurgh," the YouTube link reads. The lyrics are actually pretty funny and the whole thing is sung to the tune of Radiohead's "Creep." Check out the first verse and track below:

"When I was in Don't Flop, could have battled anyone
Uno Lavoz and Mark Grist, against Lunar I won
Then I battled Dekay, called her a beautiful girl
Now I'm battling Michael White, 1009 dislikes."

Dumbfoundead - "COACHELLA"

So, this song is only peripherally about Coachella, but it definitely provides a super clever hook. "My pockets' Coachella," Dumbfoundead brags, "About 50 bands." As for the rest of the song, wait for the breakdown, and as for the video, watch 'til the end.

Arsonal feat. Sy Ari Da Kid & Rick Rogers - "Zoom"

Enjoying himself in Miami, Arsonal linked with Sy Ari Da Kid and Rick Rogers for a new video and even got a Welven Da Great cameo. Zoom!

40 B.A.R.R.S. - "B.A.R.R.S."

With Jaz the Rapper and Uncle Rara behind the lens, 40 B.A.R.R.S. flips her latest single into a quick jaunt down a New York City block and first bit of promo for her Musically Evolved EP.
