And, there it is.
KOTD has just played the trump card for August's "World Domination 5" event in Toronto from August 20-23. The match-up marks the return of NYC legend Iron Solomon, who built his name in the early days of battle rap in freestyle tournaments and against the likes of Jin on Fight Klub and Math Hoffa on SMACK DVD.
Solomon returned in 2012 to face Murda Mook at URL's "Summer Madness 2" in an hour-long, five-round main event that ended with Solomon saying: "You got that. A real man know when he lost." The video was met with many negative reviews and stands as one of the channel's most "disliked" videos.
Solomon pretty much disappeared from the battle scene after that, reemerging with a surprise appearance at May's "MASSacre"event that set off speculation of a KOTD debut.
So far, fans seems to be excited about the announcement:

Daylyt is definitely a surprising opponent to make a comeback against. He remains one of the most unpredictable emcees in the game, but has successfully amplified his name in 2015 through a combination of scandals, antics, and incredible performances. Most recently, he got a ton of attention from the mainstream hip-hop press by inserting himself into the Meek Mill/Drake beef.
KOTD's Avi Rex hit us up with a statement about the match-up, saying: "We're trying to bring it back to the roots while maintaining the constant improvements our events have seen since inception. Iron back in the pit is a great way to showcase this."
