Danja Zone & Danny Myers Recap "Traffic" Battle

Two of the year's most consistent performers say they put on a classic at URL's West Coast event.

Last Saturday (Aug. 1), Danja Zone and Danny Myers locked horns in L.A. at URL's first major West Coast event, and general consensus would have it that they put on one of 2015's most exciting battles. Both emcees caught up with BattleRap.com correspondent The Deadman.

Danny Myers Says All He Brings Is Classics

Danny Myers was reluctant to name a winner from the weekend's hotly-contested clash, but is adamant that the battle will stand up against the year's best.

"Ain't no clear winner," he says. "I don't even do that no more. I don't say I won or he won, I just let y'all call it how y'all call it man. But it definitely was Battle of the Night and probably Battle of the Year contender, for sure."

He also claims that he is fully aware of the consistency of his work, and says that his class of battler is impossible to handle because of the punchline count.

"All I bring is classics ... I'm the sole reason so many classics have come out in the last three years ... We're just smothering you with punches ... It's really hard for any battler to stand up against that."

Danny's next stop? He's hoping for Tay Roc. "Yo, where Tay Roc at? ... I gotta put a stop to this nigga ... I respect him, I like what he doing but he gotta go."

Danja Zone Calls The Clash "Out Of Control"

Danja has had a stratospheric first half of 2015, and takes the opportunity to address this dramatic improvement in profile. "I felt like I weren't getting my proper respect, man," he says. "So I just had to do what I had to do, man. I just got tired of the jokes online, niggas not taking me seriously."

Danja agrees with Danny's assessment of the battle. "It's a crazy classic, first of all," he confirms. "I feel like we did have battle of the night ... The fans probably gon' debate that shit when it come out. Shit was crazy, man. That nigga put the press to me, he had the intensity — you know how Danny Myers get."

Danja Zone says that he has T-Rex up next, and "another classic on the way in October" that remains unrevealed.

Twitter is very much in agreement about the clash:
