The Best Of Battle Rap Twitter (Aug. 9-15)

The best rants, jokes and trash talk from around the battle rap world.

The battle rap conversation on Twitter never stops. To make it easier for you to track what's happening, BattleRap.com sifts through all the chatter to find the most compelling 140-character outbursts.

This week, “World Domination 5” draws nearer and Cee Major and Tony D question the forthcoming battle between Shuffle-T and Unanymous.

But first, Bishop Brigante and Don't Flop champion Soul offered some major praise to Shotgun Suge after footage of his battle with T-Top dropped.

See more reaction to that battle here.

Many fans posted tweets from QOTR's "No Holds Barred 2" event in New York (some of which we've posted here). The clear standout battle from the night was C3 vs. E Hart, which has already dropped.

Organik built some hype for King Of The Dot’s “World Domination 5.” Catch up with all of the match-up announcements here.

Murda Mook responded to Daylyt’s request asking him to help write bars for his match-up against Iron Solomon at WD5. This is in light of Mook’s battle against Solomon at URL's “Summer Madness 2,” where the two faced off in an hour-long, five-round event that saw Solomon surrender to Mook’s performance when he said: “You got that. A real man know when he lost.”

Charlie Clips reacted to one fan’s thoughts on his third round against T-Rex.

Dizaster let loose his thoughts on Yasiin Bey’s comments regarding the skill of writing battle raps. The artist formerly known as Mos Def made news recently for calling out challengers to a battle and then quickly backing out, saying “spending your time writing battle raps … I’d rather be filing paperwork at the post office. That shit does not sound like fun.”

Eurgh praised O’fficial as one of the best battlers doing it right now.

Cee Major let his feelings be known about potential U.K. battles.

And then alongside Tony D, weighed in on Shuffle-T and Unanymous’ recently announced battle at Don’t Flop’s “Sunburn 2.”

And since Spit Dat Tweet went on vacation last week, here are some from earlier this month.

Cadalack Ron nominated himself as the most disrespectful battler in the world.

And KOTD cameraman/editor Kyle "Avocado" Gray got into it with a vegetable.
