Daylyt & Iron Solomon Recap Their “World Domination 5” Battle

Iron Solomon confirms that he’s signed a three-battle contract with King Of The Dot.

Following their Day 2 headline match-up at King Of The Dot’s “World Domination 5” over the weekend, Daylyt and Iron Solomon spoke with BattleRap.com to recap their battle and weigh in on the event as a whole. Check our live updates article for the play-by-play of what happened in the battle.

Daylyt: “This Was A Big Match For Me”

“This was a big match for me, a very big match,” Daylyt says. “Really think about it, it’s Iron Solomon. Fuck the [Murda] Mook battle, really think about it, it’s fucking Iron Solomon. He’s one of the forefathers of battle rap, man.

“I think I did very good,” Daylyt later adds regarding his own performance. “I respected the time limits. We got contracted in as two minutes but I told Solomon, ‘You can go over.’ I know he has more to get off his chest than me. I just need to rap. They just want me to rap without doing nothing so I’m good. But, I know he had a little more to say. He’s been going forever and there’s no way you can really come back with two minutes and tell the world where you’ve been. So I was like, ‘Yo, you can rap for however long you want, I don’t care.’”

Later in the conversation, Daylyt explained the creation of his bizarre outfit, which, for those who haven’t seen, was completely covered in different shaped mirrors.

“I made this completely from scratch,” Daylyt says. “For those who don’t know, one of my favorite stores to shop at — I said it in the battle — I was raised on Goodwill clothing. I went to the Goodwill, I paid like fucking $9.99 for this fucking jacket and then I went to the [99 Cent Store] and I got these mirrors for a dollar each. And I just fucking glued them all on. The hat [too]. This is regular, cheap-ass hat and I just fucking did the same shit on the hat and the shoes too.”

Iron Solomon Confirms 3-Battle Contract

We caught up with Iron Solomon following his Daylyt battle to get his thoughts on his battle rap return in Toronto.

“It feels great, man, it feels great,” Iron Solomon says.

The New York lyricist also confirmed that he’s signed a three-battle contract with King Of The Dot, but as of yet, no names have been solidified.

“I haven’t even thought that far [ahead], I’m just so glad to not have a battle in the next couple of hours right now,” Solomon says regarding potential opponents. “I can’t even think about it. Definitely not Pat [Stay] or Illmaculate because that was crazy, maybe [Dizaster].”

As always, Twitter was busy passing comment on the battle:
