Ah Di Boom To Serve 2 Years In Prison, Says ARP

ARP provides an update on the New Jersey battler's sentence.

Bridgeton, N.J. battle rapper Ah Di Boom is set to serve 24 months in prison, not the five years that was previously expected, according to Rare Breed Entertainment boss ARP.

In a video blog uploaded to YouTube this past Sunday (Sept. 20), ARP revealed the news of Boom’s shortened prison stint but didn't go into detail surrounding his case.

“I have some great, great news for y’all, man. Everybody knows for the most part that Ah Di Boom was hit with five years. I heard from that man’s mouth today that he’s gonna do 24 months. He might have to move to a halfway house after 24 months but we should expect Ah Di Boom to start getting back around the environment, getting back into the mix at around the two-year mark. That right there is beautiful news. That’s not even half of what everybody expected.”

ARP also gave a quick update regarding Boom’s current state.

“I actually spoke to Ah Di Boom today [Sept. 20],” ARP says. “I’m very, very happy to say that he is in great spirits. He sounded like the same Ah Di Boom that we all know and love. His energy was crazy. He’s still moving around right now. He’s not going to be situated for about two to three weeks.”

Ah Di Boom has become a regular on the RBE stage, recently facing off against Charlie Clips at “Blood, Sweat & Tiers 3” earlier in September. In his recap of the event, BattleRap.com writer Jackson Yates admitted that he found it tricky to pick a winner between the two, noting that “Boom more than did his thing with wordplay and jokes, making [the battle] that much more entertaining.”

Elsewhere, ARP said that he will be dropping another blog shortly with a further update on Ah Di Boom’s status.

“In about two to three weeks, I’m gonna drop a second video for y’all, another update,” he says. “Then, y’all can get at me behind-the-scenes, I’ll share his information with y’all so y’all can write him, y’all can put money on his books if you wanna put money on his books or whatever the case may be.”
