Fredro Starr vs. Keith Murray Finally Going Down

The long-awaited industry rapper vs. industry rapper match-up goes down in Brooklyn on Oct. 4.

The long-awaited battle between Onyx's Fredro Starr and Def Squad's Keith Murray is finally going down — more than a year after it first fell through at MC WAR's "New World Order 2" event in September 2014.

The Murda Mook and Loaded Lux-hosted event takes place at Milk River in Brooklyn, this Sunday, Oct. 4 and will be broadcast live on AllHipHop.com.

The rivalry has been brewing for more than a year now, with both emcees taking shots at each other on stages and in interviews. At last year's press conference with ThisIs50 both emcees seemed ready for war.

"I'm coming here and taking mine," Fredro Starr said. "What makes me want to do the battle rap thing? Because to me being a rapper it's either you nice or you not." Keith Murray came with aggression, responding "Fuck Fredro Starr, fuck Onyx, but I ain't with this funny, laughing game shit. I ain't with this phony back and forth shit, I'm about lyrics."

NYC legend Hollow Da Don also gave his thoughts on the upcoming battle in an interview with AllHipHop.com. "Keith Murray, Fredro Starr, you already know, I ain't going to lie I can't call it cause I ain't seen either of them in the ring, but I know I'm a fan of both of them so this shit's going to be crazy, especially cause Keith Murray is a wild nigga."

The undercard for the event is being booked by AHAT NY and will feature Sinsity vs. Jay Balla.
