Shotgun Suge & Big T Break Down Their "Summer Madness 5" Battle

The two heavyweights spoke with BattleRap.com after putting on one of the most exciting battles of the event.

Shotgun Suge and Big T surprised a lot of fans with their "Summer Madness 5" battle on Sept. 26 in New York City. Going into the battle, many fans had low expectations, but the clash ended up being one of the best from the event.

Shotgun Suge: "I'm bringing new energy to my style"

Newark, N.J. emcee Shotgun Suge has had a meteoric twelve months, but doesn't think it's down to a change in his signature aggression. "I'm just trying to be me man," he says. "I'm bringing new energy to my style ... My style ain't never really changed, it's just like a new energy, know what I'm saying? I actually know my shit."

He calls the battle with Big T 2-1 in his own favor, admitting that Big T might've got the first round.

Suge also spoke on the ongoing saga that is his battle with Hitman Holla, simply reiterating that "it's coming ... we'll do it on URL. It's coming."

Big T On His Return To The URL Stage

T took a break from talking about poutine with BattleRap.com's Chris Mitchell to discuss his amped-up clash with Suge.

"That was a crazy battle, man. I knew what type it was," says T. "People don't even understand when you walk out ... and the cheers, you notice the difference ... The second was too ridiculous, man, but I feel like, in the room he definitely had the third... He turned the crowd against me. 'Cause I think they forgot who I am."

He also gave his thoughts on the importance of the demanding URL crowd. "You have one bad bar it could be over for you. You gotta always have a backup. Something nice."

Up next, Big T tells us he is up against Caustic in Atlanta for A3C, and then possibly against John John because "he makes me itch."

Twitter is having a similar reaction in relation to seeing this battle.
