Hollow Da Don Discusses Upcoming Pat Stay Battle

“I clearly respect him or I wouldn’t be doing it,” Hollow Da Don says of Pat Stay.

Despite not performing at the event, Hollow Da Don showed up to support URL’s "Summer Madness 5" last weekend. We caught up with the Orlando-based emcee to discuss his upcoming battle with Pat Stay, which is scheduled to go down at Battle Of The Brave’s inaugural event, “Birth Of The Brave,” on Dec. 6 at Ministry Of Sound in London, England.

During Hollow’s conversation with us, he says other leagues had previously attempted to book the battle but scheduling conflicts always got in the way. He also reveals that Drake called him personally to try and lock it down multiple times for KOTD but due to his battles with Joe Budden and Charlie Clips, he declined a “beautiful check.”

Hollow says he's never met Pat Stay but still admires him as a performer. “I clearly respect him or I wouldn’t be doing it,” he says. “Definitely can’t wait to see him live Dec. 6.”

Hollow also spoke on the risk associated with performing at a new league’s first event, considering the problems with last year’s "Total Slaughter," as well as FCMG/FilmOn's "Ether."

“Of course you definitely got hesitations working with a new league but the thing about it is, I think he was a fan first, which is very important,” Hollow says of Battle Of The Brave’s organizer, who goes by the name H’s. “He has a certain vision, he’s gon’ put it together right. It’s always a risk, even with these leagues that’s experienced because shit be unorganized or they play favoritism so it’s still a risk, no matter what, but I’m sure they gon’ deliver great footage.”
