Daylyt Shoots Blackface-Wearing Cadalack Ron With Paintball Gun

The "Malcolm X vs. Klansman" battle fell apart in Hollywood on Friday.

To the surprise of very few, the main event from "Virus" fell apart when tensions ran high during the "Malcolm X vs. Klansman" battle between Daylyt and Cadalack Ron.

The controversial match-up went down as part of Dizaster and Lush One's "all-costume, all-character" Halloween card at an art gallery in Hollywood on Oct. 30. Just outside, an unending wave of Los Angeles' beautiful people paraded the Walk Of Fame in costumes of their own, with occasional stragglers coming in to watch the battles.

BattleRap.com was in the building from start to finish to catch everything first hand (and we also interviewed Ron about his thoughts going into the battle earlier this week).

Both Cadalack Ron and Daylyt arrived to the venue after things were well underway, and spent most of their time separate from the crowd on the main floor. Before taking to the pit, both emcees were interacting without issue and posed for this faceoff photo.

Cadalack Ron and Daylyt are known for their extreme performances, and both went all out here, bringing elaborate costumes and entourages.

Dizaster introduced the battle in an "Arab" costume, and Cadalack started his round by attempting to burn a Gay Pride flag while flanked by two women in confederate flag skirts.

Ron's first round contained racist angles but it wasn't really a departure from the kind of territory he's been in before against Dre Vishiss and AB Hogish. The crowd wasn't cheering along or anything, but was mostly patient and allowing him to get his material out.

For Daylyt's first round he spat a few bars and then suggested that all minorities in the crowd come over to his side. Most people just stood in place watching to see what would happen next. Then Daylyt pulled out a gun and loaded it. His entourage pulled out guns of their own.

And unloaded a barrage of paintballs on Ron.

The round ended and Cadalack removed his hood and robes to reveal that he was in blackface and a kufi. His second round seemed to be based around the concept that "we are all Malcolm X" but it was hard to catch everything with the visibly shocked crowed talking through much of it.

The battle ended when the cameramen (KOTD regular Avocado and DF lead Bagnall) cut the shoot after having to separate the two rappers.

Emotions were high with several verbal confrontations happening around the gallery at the same time, though nothing seemed to escalate to violence until one of Ron's female entourage members got into a fight outside the venue with another female who seemingly had nothing to do with the battle.

Police came, broke up the crowd, and most people disappeared into the night quickly.

We briefly caught up with Lush One over the phone later in the night, who told us: "It was probably the weirdest night of my life. The other battles were really dope and I hope people had a good time, but if you put me, Caddy, Diz and Day together, what else do you expect?”

In other news, Dirtbag Dan and Megadef battled as Jesus vs. Satan, Rone and NoShame put on Bruce Jenner vs. Caitlyn Jenner, Dizaster played Eminem and battled a guy who played Dizaster, Danny Myers dressed up as a Ninja Turtle against Copywrite who played Shredder, and Bill Collector faced A-Class in a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar vs. Bruce Lee pairing.

Look for a recap of those battles on the site in the coming days. For now though, go check out some other cool stuff.
