Tsu Surf Recaps Aye Verb Battle At "Crown 2"

The New Jersey emcee also says a 2016 match-up with Murda Mook is "more than likely."

Amidst a tour with Joe Budden, the release of his much anticipated album "Newark," appearing on Fox 5 news with Smack White, and the reports of an upcoming battle against Murda Mook, Tsu Surf took on St. Louis' Aye Verb at Go-Rilla Warfare's "Crown 2" event in Markham, Ill. on Nov. 21.

Battlerap.com caught up with New Jersey's Tsu Surf for his thoughts at the end of the night.

TSU SURF: "I GOT TO GET READY FOR THE BIG FIGHT"

When asked how he feels about most fans and Verb himself saying he won their battle, Surf responded "I feel regular ... I just came to show up, what I do feel like is Verb had me in a position to go retarded, Verb had a position to get me the fuck outta here and he didn't. I'm comfortable with saying I got the first two rounds."

Surf also spoke about the notion that live crowds tend to react to more punchline-heavy styles from battlers as opposed to the more intricate set-ups and structures Surf uses. "I don't think the crowd always responds to punchline/punchline because again it's two battles, you still got to watch it on camera."

Surf took time to address a possible Murda Mook battle in 2016, stating, "It's more than likely, we might be straight honestly ... I got to get ready for the big fight, no shots at GO-Rilla Warfare, I love GO-Rilla Warfare like this is dope cause it's in another state you know what I mean, but it's like a different league."
