Hoping to expand on the success of their last event, Black Ice Cartel has announced its "Format 2" followup card, which brings the Milwaukee-based league to New York for the first time.
Here's the card so far:
- Charlie Clips vs. Danny Myers
- Danja Zone vs. DNA
- Qleen Paper vs. K-Shine
- QP vs. Chilla Jones
Cartel rep Jon Dough told BattleRap.com he's aiming for another three or four undercard battles on the card but expects them to be one-rounders. The announced battles are all three rounds.
The event will be going down in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Jan. 10 and will be headlined by Charlie Clips — who is coming off a battle with Shotgun Suge that most fans gave to him 2-1 — and Danny Myers — whose most recent footage is a classic battle against fellow Writers Bloque member Chilla Jones. Clips and Myers have actually battled before, in a one-rounder over the phone on AngryFans Radio, although the audio is no longer available.
Many fans have been concerned with Clips' effort level in battles again recently, something Danny addressed on Facebook.
The event also features a grudge match between Chilla Jones and QP, who has been calling out Chilla with accusations that Chilla Jones is a bar thief.
There will be a Writers Bloque versus NWX match-up between Danja Zone and DNA respectively. The card also pits NWX's K-Shine, whose battle against X-Factor at URL's "A Perfect Day To Die" didn't go down, will be battling against Qleen Paper, who also has had a recent battle canceled when Aye Verb no-showed at Black Ice's last event.
It all goes down Jan. 10 at The Kymberle Project at 1332 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn. N.Y. Doors open at 3:00 p.m and tickets for the event are available here.
