The battle between John John Da Don and Tay Roc at URL's "A Perfect Day To Die" has officially secured the league's prestigious Christmas release (along with PG standout Mike P vs. Ave).
ThatShitIsHotSunlive.com caught up with both emcees after their battle for recaps.
John John Da Don: "I took the first, Tay Roc took the second, and the third is just in the air"
Slated as a grudge match after trading shots online and on track, John John and Tay Roc both brought three full rounds of material to their showdown.
"I could sit there and be like they gas Roc, but that could've been Tay Roc taking the room from me, but at the end of the day that shit is debatable. I feel like minus the little bull shit, me trying to rebuttal, that might sway people's opinions in that third round, but then when it comes down to it I took the first, Tay Roc took the second and the third is just in the air," says John John, who believes his botched rebuttal attempt is the only thing holding him back from a clear win.
John John took time to speak about the importance of winning over the crowd as opposed to winning on camera, "I come in there, just try to perform, you know I aim to try and take the crowd but it's like I never expect to if that makes any sense. Like I work for it, towards trying to take the crowd, but I don't expect it so if they don't fuck with me, it's like it's all good."
Tay Roc: "I smacked his head off in the last two"
A confident Roc starts off the interview saying, "I feel good bro, I feel good ... not 3-0, 2-1 it could be a 3-0 but I gotta see how my first round went. He turned up in the first but I smacked his head off in the last two."
Tay Roc also addressed the controversy between his Dot Mobb crew and NWX, "I don't know, I'm just speaking for myself, I ain't speaking for nobody in the camp, I'm not taking up for nobody ... As a man, ain't nobody disrespecting me, ain't nobody talking about my fucking team, period."
