Spit Dat Heat Launches New Web Series

FIRST LOOK! The Atlanta-based league's scripted series "Grind Seazon" shows the behind-the-scenes drama of battle rap.

Spit Dat Heat is known for putting out scripted comedy sketches alongside their seemingly unending stock of quality battles, but now the league is stepping up its production with an ambitious new web series.

The 10-episode first season tells the story of an Atlanta-based battle rap league that looks a lot like Spit Dat Heat, but focuses more on what's happening outside of the ring. League owner Swag (played by SDH league owner Miltown Bloe) deals with the pressures of organizing events while trying to manage unpredictable emcees, a mother who needs money to keep the lights on, and a girl who supports him until she catches another girl calling his phone.

Future episodes will be dropping weekly in the new year and will feature Atlanta emcees like Chef Trez and Brixx Belvedere. Subscribe to Spit Dat Heat on YouTube for more.
