Organik Calls 2015 KOTD's Strongest Year Yet

"The [Blackout 5] press conference was more successful than most battle rap events this year," says Organik.

BattleRap.com caught up with King Of The Dot host and co-founder Organik for an extended interview to talk about the eventful year the league had in 2015.

"I thought it was a good year, I thought we started off strong with Blackout — I think probably our strongest year-to-date as far as events. We had a couple of really solid Back to Basics, the MASSacre card, World Dom 5, the Blackout card, everything was really a success," said Organik to open the interview (which gets a lot less blurry after the first few minutes...).

He talks about the league pairing up with long-time friend/fan Drake for "Blackout 5," a two-day mystery event in Toronto that kicked off with a huge press conference. "I think that press conference was more successful than most battle rap events this year," says Organik.

Continuing his assessment of KOTD's major events, Organik says, "World Domination, the whole weekend was crazy. That was one of the funnest vibes at an event in a long time ... Dizaster was the highlight of that weekend, just having him back in Toronto after his long suspension ... Iron Solomon coming back was a big thing for battle rap."

When asked what he considered to be KOTD's best battle of 2015, Organik paused before saying "I guess I'd have to say Dumbfoundead and Conceited. Runner-up would probably go to Iron Solomon and Daylyt ... Numbers speak for itself."
