So for April Fools Day, we thought we'd send TBF a variant of our usual 20 Questions interview to get a real expert's insight on the scene.

How old are you?
I'm 16 and a half now.. so pretty much an adult
Why do you live where you live?
i live in alberta because thats the hood province here in canada.. and before you say its not, i saw graffiti the other day #urban
How long have you been watching battle rap?
since the very beginning.. so, 8 mile.. not when it first released though bc i was too young, but i saw it later on blu ray and was stunned..
What made you start?
i think it was fate.. my friend had 8 mile on blu ray and he was gonna throw it away with some other stuff.. i noticed the cover had a guy in a hoodie and it said 8 miles... which was how far i lived from sherwood park (which is known for rough crime) so i went to watch it thinking it would be spooky.. instead it was lyrically eye opening...
If you were to battle, what name would you go by?
i thought of this a few times.. as u noticed my email is [email protected] (hmu) so u can probably tell i hold that name close to my heart. i was in science class and we were learning about weather.. and not much is scarier than a typhoon.. now imagine my lyrics combined with it...........
scary i know.. so yeah, either that or yung string cheez
How would you describe yourself in three words?
wise.... important.. dangerous (if necessary)
What makes you different from other battle rap fans?
lol.. the main thing that sets me apart is because im not fooled by the battle rappers who arent freestyling... u would be surprised how many of these url battlers arent freestyling.. i respect 100% off the top like pat stay or dizaster, if not ur part of the problem.. also i think alot of fans look up to me because i tell it like it is and dont sugar coat. where im from, u get nowhere if u dont stand by ur word (i live near a courthouse)
What’s your favorite battle?
i think the best battle was dizaster vs a class.. u could see the rage in dizasters eyes as he summoned his hatred for asians.... i like it because it makes me imagine what asians did to him to make him despise them so much. maybe he got in a car accident with one? wouldnt that be.... a "dizaster"? #illuminati
Which battle do you hate?
lol i hate most url battles because they just rap about swag and braids... i can't relate to that and nobody else can i bet. only url battles i liked were soul khan vs some guy and real deal vs.. idk maybe it was the same guy actually
What's better: lyricism or multies?
good question.. heres a protip.. if its multis.. its lyrical
if u go back and read led zeppelin or beetles lyrics.. ull realize theyre not very lyrical or good.. this is because multis werent invented yet. this is why music is so much better now... so i say multis are the most important thing to make ur lyrics good #insight

wow.. good question.
charron is alot more relatable but dizaster is like a lyrical machine gun.. he just never stops. i think it comes down to who rebuttals eachothers shirt better

id like to see knowledge medina come back.. u might not know him but hes from the golden age and hes pretty much unbeatable..

arsenal bothers me because he wont stop telling me his shit is real his shit is raw his shit is authentic... we get it, u have braids
Who would you battle if you could choose anyone?
chedda cheese pretty much bit my nickname (yung string cheez) so id like to battle him on a trampoline (loser has to jump #fun)
What’s the biggest problem in battle rap?
the biggest problem is by far people rapping about their bling and getting women.. this stuff is so unrelatable that idk how people like it... also anyone who doesnt freestyle
How would you fix it?
i say.. if they rap about money.. dont pay them... they obviously have enough. also just try to keep it more diverse and get more people from canada to battle.. we have alot of talent here
