Daylyt On The Saurus Battle & His "New Character" For URL

“He brought his best, A game, I brought my, pretty much, A- game, but it was up there.”

Coming off what many fans are calling battle of the night with fellow West Coast legend The Saurus at KOTD's "Back To Basics 4" in Los Angeles on April 16, Daylyt gave BattleRap.com correspondent Frak his thoughts on the performances and previewed what fans can expect next from him.

When asked how he thought the battle went, Daylyt said: “It went exactly what I expected to happen,” adding, “He brought his best, A game, I brought my pretty much A- game, but it was up there.”

Daylyt’s goal with this battle was very different than most, as he told us: “I didn’t take this battle to beat The Saurus, I took it to help him back to the spotlight.” Day explained his reasoning for that: “The Saurus was one of the people who was rocking with me when nobody else was, so now that I got into a position where my stock rose above his, you can’t forget the people that helped you. So I was like 'let me pull you back up here.'”

He also previewed his impending debut on URL saying that he would be rapping the whole time in a ski mask, shedding a bit more light on the "new character" that he alluded to in our discussion with him last week (that will be dropping on BattleRap.com soon).

Day also did an in-depth recap for his own channel:
