The rematch of the most-viewed match-up of 2016 is set. The battle between Tsu Surf/Tay Roc (Gun Titles) and DNA/K-Shine (NWX) has done almost 1.2 million views in 24 days, helped by a fiery performance from first-time superstar teammates Surf and Roc, and also from the controversy of the battle getting cut short when emotions flew out of control and a fight (or two) almost broke out.
The rematch is scheduled for June 4 at Santos Party House in New York City, a venue partly owned by hard rock partier Andrew W.K. and underground rapper Despot, where the first NOME went down in 2011 as well as some more recent PG events.
There are three other battles scheduled for the card:
- Shotgun Suge vs. Brizz Rawsteen
- John John Da Don vs. Big T
- Math Hoffa vs. T-Top
The match-up between Shotgun Suge vs. Brizz Rawsteen has been in the mix for the last few months. Suge spoke on his opponent in a recent interview with Rap Grid.

Math Hoffa vs. T-Top fits the "Unfinished Business" theme more than fans might realize. The match-up was one that Don't Flop was chasing for an Atlanta card last year, though T-Top dropped out. Chilla Jones ended up battling Math, and the resulting clash was one of the best of 2015. If you listen to the story as Hoffa tells it in that battle, URL stepped in to block the match-up. Now that Hoffa is getting booked by URL again, it'll be interesting to see if/how he addresses that particular piece of back story.
John John Da Don vs. Big T just stood across the stage from each other in March, where they were on opposing teams at "Double Impact." From the amount they've been going back and forth for the past couple of years, it's clear that they still have plenty to say to each other, and are floating the idea of having the battle judged.
