KOTD Announces "Battles At The Bunker" Lineup

FIRST LOOK! The new card features Bonnie Godiva, Reverse Live, E. Farrell and the KOTD debut of Bill Collector.

King Of the Dot's Back to Basics series has provided a ton of big battles in small settings, but with "Battles At The Bunker" on June 25, the Cali division is mostly highlighting battlers who haven't been getting shots on KOTD's bigger cards.

Check out the premiere of the trailer here:

Here's the full lineup for the first event in the monthly series:

  • Reverse Live vs. J Dose
  • Bill Collector vs. J-Pro
  • Bonnie Godiva vs. PNut
  • Madflex vs. E. Farrell
  • The Deadman vs. Big Kannon
  • Ncredable vs. Megadef

Reverse Live is a guy who has always had a small but devoted fan base saying he should be getting bigger opponents, and J Dose is just that. In one card Dose went from opening up the event at B2B4, to the headline battle here. He has one of the most unique deliveries in battle rap, and is a real throwback to that Philly street style popular in the DVD era, and making a comeback now.

Making his KOTD debut at this event is Bill Collector, seen as one of the most entertaining performers in all of battle rap. He's facing J-Pro, who will be pulling double duty as a battler and organizer of the event.

Bonnie Godiva in recent weeks has been on a social media campaign to get tougher male competition with the goal of eventually getting a shot at the KOTD title, and a strong performance against PNut could help put her on that path. PNut has long been thought of as one of the more under-appreciated talents in the scene, and could easily be Bonnie’s toughest KOTD battle so far. PNut will be looking to retain the momentum he picked up after a strong showing at B2B4 against J Dose.

E. Farrell vs. Madflex is a rescheduled battle that was planned for B2B4, but that was postponed after Farrell had medical issues. This is one of the more obvious stylistic matches on the card, with both guys being well-respected writers.

Big Kannon is another name making his first second appearance on KOTD (his first was against Chedda Cheese), and has long been a fixture on people’s most underrated lists. Kannon has already battled some of the biggest names in battle rap on URL, RBE, Don't Flop and his own GO-Rilla Warfare league, but this is his first time battling for KOTD on the West Coast. A few years ago, The Deadman seemed poised to roll through everybody on the West Coast and establish himself as a big name. He lost some momentum over the last couple of years, but after a strong showing against Jonny Storm, he has another chance to build against a well-respected opponent.

Ncredable will be making his main card debut after some wild showings on GZ and in Battle Of The Zae. He's going up against veteran Fresh Coast emcee Megadef.

Overall, the card is somewhat of a change from the bigger events we've been seeing from KOTD. It doesn't have any highly demanded match-ups or huge names, but instead focuses on more underrated battlers who have shown consistent talent. Building up new names was the original point of The Bunker, and a ton of the emcees involved here are coming in with something on the line, which should provide some added excitement.

There will also be a Day 1 event on June 24, featuring JeFFrey vs. Erik Foreman, Cali Smoov vs. Profecy, Derez vs. Sam Kolt and more.
