Gully TK On "Conflict" & Bringing GZ To Detroit

Plus our photos from the Toronto event.

Over the past year or so, KOTD's GZ Battles league has been steadily rising in quality and gaining a greater reputation in the scene. BattleRap.com's Chris Mitchell caught up with GZ host Gully TK after "Conflict" on June 4 to discuss the event, the upward trajectory of the league and the bridge with Detroit's battle scene.

Gully ran through all of the battles on the card, including those that had to be canceled. When speaking of the Tez vs. Balbowuh battle, Gully indicated that Balbowuh couldn’t get across the border, but that with the help of Bar Wars and Alpha League, the battle happened in Tez's hometown of Detroit.

In terms of the battles that actually went down, Gully said that Luke Nukem vs. Colly C was battle of the night, but he seemed high on all the performances that took place.

Near the end of the interview, Gully indicated that on September 24th, GZ battles would be making its debut in Detroit. He told us that the card would be comprised of mostly local talent, saying “the amount of talent out there is unreal, I’ve never seen that much talent before.”
