Daylyt vs. John John Da Don Canceled At "Fade"

The main event of "Fade" has been rescheduled.

The scheduled headliner for Bullpen Battle League's "Fade" on July 16 has been postponed. Daylyt vs. John John Da Don was supposed to be headlining but had to be pushed back due to personal issues on Daylyt's end. Day posted a video explaining the issues that got in the way of the match-up going down, also mentioning two potential dates for the rescheduled battle in late August or early October.

Bullpen owner, and Day's scheduled opponent, John John Da Don took to Twitter to confirm that the battle would no longer be happening.

John John also said that people who bought tickets for this event will receive free access to the upcoming event in October, where this battle will likely go down.

While this is a blow to the card there are still some match-ups with a ton of potential lined up. Perhaps most intriguing is what will likely be the new main event in K-Shine and Charron. This is a battle with a little bit of history behind it. In November 2015, Charron and 100 Bulletz faced off against K-Shine and DNA in a battle for Don’t Flop. At the end of the battle there was an altercation that turned physical, resulting in K-Shine slapping Charron.

The incident caught the attention of the battle community for a while, and the buzz was such that Don’t Flop released the battle the day after it happened. Since that point, there has some interest in seeing the two face off. At "Fade", the two will be having going at it in a one-on-one battle. Animosity sometimes makes for the best battles, and this could be another example of that.

DNA has battled some of the biggest names in the culture, but at "Fade", he'll be faced with a different, but just as tough challenge. He's going head-to-head with Chef Trez, who's one of the best up-and-comers on the scene. Trez will be looking to solidify his name at DNA's expense, while DNA obviously wants to prevent that from happening.

Of note: DNA and K-Shine both had what was likely their biggest battle of the year at URL's "Unfinished Business 2" against Tay Roc and Tsu Surf just a week before this event. It's possible that with such a big battle so recently, their performances here may be impacted.

The rest of the event has some of Bullpen's most promising battlers facing off with several names who have built their reputation in other leagues. PC, Riggz and Loso will all seek to put on for themselves and their league against Cortez, Ty Law and Xcel.

The full card is:

  • Charron vs. K-Shine
  • DNA vs. Chef Trez
  • PC vs. Ty Law
  • Riggz vs. Cortez
  • Loso vs. Xcel
