In his impromptu press conference following the cancellation of the Queen of the Ring vs. West Coast "Battle of the Sexes" card, QOTR's Debo claimed that the reason the event was cancelled was that the group throwing the event simply didn't have the money to pay the performers. Today, (Oct 17) the event organizer, Aaron went on AngryFan Radio to explain his side of the story.
In the interview, Aaron said that there were a myriad of issues at play that led to the cancellation. Among them he said that the battlers were expecting people to get in free that he felt shouldn't have, and that they were turning up late, causing dissatisfaction in the fan base.
Later in the interview, he expresses regret for how things turned out, even going as far as to state that if he had the chance to do it differently he likely would have gone through with the event. Also he said that, though he didn't know how he would do it, he aimed to make it up to the fans.
