Pat Stay has released a video blog breaking down the line-up of BBE's massive "Duel In The Desert" event in Arizona, describing it as one of the best cards he's seen in his life.
The current King Of The Dot titleholder says he'll be in attendance in Phoenix on Oct. 4th for the event that features Aye Verb, Arsonal, B Magic, Bigg K and more. “I just like to soak it up, peep game,” he says. “'Cause, y’know, we can all sharpen our skills by doing this type of stuff, and watching how these dudes perform. These are my peers, and I can’t wait to do so.”
Here is a blow-by-blow rundown of his predictions.
ARSONAL VS. RUM NITTY
“Rum Nitty’s a little bit more lyrical. But that might not be very important — it’s not very important when you go up against someone like Arsonal … He’s just hard to beat. He just barks right in your fucking face, you know what I mean? He’s that dude, man. I’ma have to go with Ars, man.”
ILLMACULATE VS. CHARLIE CLIPS
“Wow. Wow. This shit here is gonna be nuts man, two of the best writers in the game … I’ma say for that one, whoever comes more prepared. Because they’re both incredible.”
B MAGIC VS. BIGG K
“Bigg K’s on his shit right now, he’s a force to be reckoned with. B Magic is definitely one of the best writers as well, I love his shit, been a fan. But I think Bigg K’s gonna take it man, unless B Magic steps out of this box he’s in, man, I think Bigg K might just edge him, man. I mean bars are important, man, but you can’t have just bars.”
AYE VERB VS. DANNY MYERS
“Aye Verb, man, don’t take offence to this. You know, I … you know, you’re great, you’re great. You need this. You really need this, man. You been kinda slack, right, and Danny Myers ain’t no joke. So Danny Myers. Unless you come ten ti- three times better than you have been, Danny Myers is gonna fuck you up. All due respect my man. All due respect.”
REAL DEAL VS. DAYLYT
“Real Deal. I don’t think people realise how fuckin’ great Real Deal is. He’s got the best angles in the game … Daylyt got crazy bars too, more character, he could probably put on a better show, but I dunno. I just feel Real Deal might just humiliate the fuckin’ shit outta him this battle.”
JONNY STORM VS. QP
“Jonny Storm is gonna beat you, and he’s gonna beat you for the same reason that Bigg K beats B Magic … QP got them crazy, y’know, little bars, about y’know, wicked little gun bars and stuff like that and so does B Magic, but sometimes authenticity will just trump that shit.”
DNA VS. SKETCH MENACE
“DNA will probably win. And mostly, y’know, because he’s been around longer, he’s more seasoned, and he’s been battling frequently and Sketch hasn’t battled in a long-ass time, so he’s probably a little rusty. So Sketch probably shouldn’t win this.
MARV WON VS. LOTTA ZAY
“Marv Won, I’ma talk to you as a friend right now … You have so much more character than Lotta Zay, you’re funny as hell, you’ve got amazing presence, you got a glow to you. People just love you, right? You got bars too. But you ain’t got close as nice bars as Lotta Zay … Lotta Zay’s gonna beat him. Unless Marv Won uses his actual, y’know, strengths.”
CORTEZ VS. DANJA ZONE
“I’m a fan of Danja Zone and Cortez, but I think Cortez is going to win. He’s really hard to fucking beat.”
RONE VS. QLEEN PAPER
"Qleen Paper at one point was my favourite. He got that hilarious attitude, man. When he gives you that look like, 'Shame on you for even showing up,' like, and the look on the other guy’s face sometimes is like 'I should just pack my bags. Is it too late to leave?' It’s really funny. Hilarious attitude. And Rone might be the perfect fucking opponent for him as far as him making Rone feel like a fucking idiot, and stuff like that. But Rone is hilarious too, so I don’t know. So whoever comes with the best shit will win that one.”
