Barbarian Battle Grounds’ “Power” event goes down this Saturday (Nov. 8) in Detroit, boasting some standout match-ups that the organizers promise will be the “most powerful battle[s] to hit a Michigan stage.” The locals on the card range from new talent to vets, and there are some big out-of-town names battling as well.
Daylyt vs. Quest MCody
Pretty much all Daylyt battles are beginning to evoke the question, “What's he going to do?” and this one against Detroit staple Quest MCody is no different. We have an exclusive — and pretty bizarre — face-off video where Day and Quest interview each other. There aren't many clues into Daylyt's intentions going into the battle, but the long silence after Quest asks him not to "pee on nobody in Detroit" could be an indication. (Keep in mind this was filmed at GO-Rilla Warfare's "Blueprint" event, which was weeks before Day's Squattergate antics in Phoenix). Quest’s aggression should go over well in front of his home crowd and from the look on his face in the video, he'll definitely have a lot to say about Day's recent behavior.

Marv Won and Charlie Clips will also spar in what we’re told is a one-round battle. Though there was some fan skepticism following his Total Slaughter performance against Rex, Marv recently reminded us how dangerous his style can be with a great showing against Lotta Zay at "Duel in the Desert." Still, this battle may come down to how important it is to Clips. Many are calling him the GOAT after his Rex performance, and he has a big battle coming up with Charron on KOTD in November, so Marv may not be at the top of his list. Hopefully he comes with material reminiscent of his last battle in Detroit against X-Factor, because it’s hard to imagine Marv Won not having a dead solid performance at home.
Ill Will vs. X-Factor

In a match where both battlers need the win, X-Factor is taking on Ill Will, with X right at home and Will making a short trip from Pontiac. Although X is practically a Detroit legend, he has definitely struggled in his last few battles. Many say that he hasn’t been the same since his battle with Clips, and most of those who saw his recent battle with Head I.C.E are having trouble giving him a round. Ill Will just had a strong showing in a debatable battle with Big Kannon at RBE’s “Blood, Sweat & Tiers” this past Saturday, but he could definitely use another after his surprisingly lackluster performance versus DNA. Both guys are hilarious and should be motivated, which should make this one interesting.
DNA vs. M.Ciddy

Perhaps the biggest style clash on the card is DNA vs. M.Ciddy, who is replacing Pontiac native Sno. M.Ciddy has been dormant for the second half of 2014, but his battles earlier this year against Daylyt and Danja Zone showed off how sharp his writing can be. As for DNA, the word is that Tay Roc did him almost as dirty as Charlie Clips did T-Rex at "Summer Madness 4." That being said, he was able to outperform Sketch Menace to sway the "Duel In The Desert" crowd his way in Phoenix, proving that a freestyler like himself is always just one on-point rebuttal away from having the crowd back in the palm of his hand.
Young Kannon vs. Moe Dirdee

Also on the card, Young Kannon will face off against hometown emcee Moe Dirdee. Dirdee battled a few notable names in the GrindTime days, including Real Deal, Big Kannon and RemyD but hasn't been active in the ring lately, instead focusing on music. His opponent is Chicago's Young Kannon, who has been working steadily all year, with a quality battle against Cortez as the highlight.
