Following the headlining battle between Arsonal and Mistah F.A.B. on Day 2 of “Battle Of The Bay 7” yesterday (Jan. 23), BattleRap.com caught up with Watts, Calif. battler Daylyt to get his thoughts on the latest industry crossover clash.
During the conversation, Daylyt applauded the battle for having all of the components of a great match-up.
“Overall I think the battle was dope, man,” Daylyt says. “It’s gon’ build the culture one way or another. Whether people like it or not it’s gon’ build the culture. I think a lot of people are gonna like it because for one thing it wasn’t a technical battle. Regular people can’t watch technical shit, only battle rappers can watch technical shit. This shit was right, straight to you [and] we understand every word. If I had to rate the battle on a scale of one to ten, I give it a nine.
“It has all [the] factors,” Daylyt adds. “It has the disrespect factor. It has the ‘is they gonna fight?’ factor. It has the ‘is his homies gonna jump onstage?’ factor. Arsonal spit a history lesson in there. F.A.B. spit a history lesson in there. It has some quality things in there. There was some comedy in there with some jokes. There was everything. There was props! F.A.B. had a fuckin’ Nintendo gun shooting Arsonal. It was popping! What more could you ask for?”
