Head I.C.E Recaps Serius Jones Battle: "I'm The Greatest"

Head I.C.E also opens up about his history with Serius before labelling himself “the greatest.”

After receiving some encouraging words from Drake at the event's press conference, Harlem’s Head I.C.E faced off against Serius Jones on Day 2 of King Of The Dot’s “Blackout 5” event in Toronto, Canada earlier this month.

BattleRap.com caught up the iconic battle rap figure shortly after his personal, and at times heated match-up, to get his thoughts on how the clash went.

“I say 2-1,” Head I.C.E says. “I wanna say 3-0 but his third round was — I wouldn’t say it was better than mine because I had way more better punchlines but his rebuttals were somewhat cool. So it made it debatable that round. But I gave him that work though.”

After recalling his 15-year history with Serius Jones, I.C.E revealed that there was some tension between the two prior to their battle. He also disclosed that the KOTD staff were questioning whether or not to implement additional security in an attempt to prevent a situation similar to Dizaster and Math Hoffa.

“Before the battle we already had tension,” I.C.E revealed. “It wasn’t like it was real drama beef but we were already at odds. It was just a lot of fuck nigga shit. That’s why you saw the staff walk up on me before the battle like, ‘Yo I.C.E do we need to put extra security up here?’ I’m like, ‘Nah, it’s cool. Everything good.’”

Lastly, I.C.E comments on The War Report’s Top 10 Of All Time list and the credit he receives from battle’s rap core audience, labelling himself “the greatest.”

“They got the Top 10 lists with the greatest of all times [and Serius Jones] is actually on the list. But nobody knew that I beat him,” Head I.C.E says of their first, undocumented battle. “Or I beat [Charlie] Clips. Or I beat others that’s on the list, you understand what I’m saying? I am the list. They claim that he’s a worthy dude, I just showed y’all what I do to worthy dudes. Line them all up, they’re all gonna get the same muthafuckin’ work. No difference. I’m the greatest. Shout-out to Loaded Lux. Y’all all give him the props and praise him but he told y’all he got it from me. So how y’all not gonna respect the G of this shit?”
