Eurgh Recaps Day 1 Of Don’t Flop’s “6th Birthday”

EXCLUSIVE: The U.K. league owner Eurgh runs through the day’s battles and addresses some of the controversial moments.

After a series of cancellations from high profile emcees, Day 1 of Don't Flop's "Sixth Birthday Weekend" went down in Leeds, England today (Nov. 15) and still kept the crowd highly entertained. Check out our live updates from the event here.

Straight after the last match-up of the night, Eurgh spoke exclusively with BattleRap.com to run down the battles on the card, explain the reasons behind the cancellations and discuss some of the more newsworthy moments from the event.

Eurgh addresses the controversial moment in the battle between Big J and Uno Lavoz where the former dropped an evident n-bomb that dropped jaws.

“Let me tell you about Big J right. All [of] Big J’s friends are black,” Eurgh explains. “He’s just one of them white dudes who all of his friends are black. The only non-black people he knows, are from Don’t Flop events that he’s met [laughs]. I don’t think he knew any before he came to Don’t Flop. So that’s why I laughed so much when he said it ‘cause for him, I know he would have chatted to a couple of his boys and been like, ‘Shall I say it?’ And they would have been like, ‘Yeah, bruv. Say it. Definitely say it.’

"Other people I think would have been too shook to say it but personally, I back it 100 percent … I understand the side of it as to why you can’t say certain things but on the other hand, with battling, if you can call someone a chink, and a this, a spic, a whatever, why can’t you say that?”

Day 2 goes down Nov. 16. We’ll be in the building so stay tuned for live updates.
