Power & Respect SD, in conjunction with BCO Apparel recently announced its “Talk That Shit” event, scheduled for this coming Saturday (March 7) in San Diego, Calif.
The main event sees Reverse Live facing off against RemyD, a St. Louis rapper who has been away from the scene long enough that this could be seen as a "return." RemyD spoke about the match briefly during our exclusive interview with him at King Of The Dot’s “Battle Of The Bay 7” event in late January.
On the undercard, Everybody Knows squares off with Laugh N’ Stalk and Joe Cutter teams up with Carter Deems for what promises to be a bizarre match against Kray-Z K and Chewsbakka.
BattleRap.com reached out to Reverse Live for some comments on his match-up. Here’s his response:
"As far as having Remy as an opponent I'm really excited. My younger brother put me on to some of his battles a while back and I was really impressed by his material and how he would be battling more "street" style emcees with crazy patterns and an unorthodox style for that scene and always thought that was dope and original.
"Going into it I'm confident in my material. Pretty much shitcanned the gun bars and I'm bringing back disrespectful Reverse. Feelings will be crushed."
"Talk That Shit" goes down on Saturday, March 7 at Rock & Roll Center in San Diego, Calif. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. and costs $15 at the door.
