After returning to the scene last September, West Coast battle league Da Jungle is back and busy preparing for its next event, scheduled to go down on March 15 in Reno, Nevada. The Stockton-based league is teaming up with Reno's 775 Battles for the event.
Set to be hosted by original founder J Fox and league alumni Okwerdz, the card’s headlining battle sees Tiger Ty facing off against one of battle rap’s biggest names, Daylyt.
Despite being considered a fan favorite and pillar of the league during its early days, Tiger Ty has taken a backseat in recent years. His most recent bout was against Dirtbag Dan at “Battle Of The Zae 3” last August and before that he faced off against Joe Cutter on Day 1 of "Battle Of The Bay 6" in October 2013.
Not much needs to be said about Daylyt, who’s gotten off to a busy 2015 already. He last faced Canadian rapper Madchild at King Of The Dot’s “Blackout 5” last month and, according to what he said in an interview with BattleRap.com, has big plans for this year.
“This year is my killing spree,” he said at BO5. “I get all the big battles this year. Big names. I got [Loaded] Lux coming up. I got Bizzy Bone coming up. Two [other] things: they might be locking in me and DMX or me and Lupe Fiasco, that is a 100 percent sure thing. Either one of those two.”
None of these battles have been officially confirmed yet.
Also on the card are seven other match-ups, which mix vets and newcomers looking to get a foot in the door.

- Cold P vs. Ace High
- 2Face vs. Digital
- Ncredable vs. MK Ultra
- Madflex vs. Darth Tone
- Eon Anpu vs. Ray Mac
- Tino vs. Emcee Kush

I've been brought down to host 775 battles in Reno for a few years now, watching them grow into a huge local fanbase that can pack a venue on a Monday night. Since bringing the Jungle back I thought it would be a good idea to collab and cross-promote with an event and give them their first major challenge against some outside talent to see where they stand.
People can expect a packed house full of Jungle & 775 Battles fans for a fun night of upcoming talent and Jungle vets!
I also wanted to clear up what i said about QP vs. Looney Divine being cancelled on Angryfan radio. Turns out the battle is still on for the 15th.

"Jungle vs. Reno" goes down Sunday, March 15 at Jub Jub's, 71 South Wells Avenue, Reno, Nev. 89502. It's scheduled to go from 8:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. and is an 18+ event. Cover is $5.
