In a surprise move that keeps URL's promo machine steamrolling along, Smack White himself confirmed that he's working on Daylyt's league debut against Big T at an event in June. Smack also confirmed that the postponed match-up between T-Rex vs. Danny Myers would be on the card that will take place between May's NOME 5 and "Summer Madness 5."
BattleRap.com reached out to Big T, who said the contract isn't signed yet but that there's a very good chance it'll be a done deal soon.
Danny Myers also confirmed to BattleRap.com that his battle with Rex was official.
Daylyt was originally supposed to debut at "Summer Madness 3" against Swave Sevah, but their battle was canceled in the chaos that followed Math Hoffa punching Serius Jones mid-battle. Daylyt's post-event outburst put more distance between him and the league, apparently until now.
"I'm thinking I wanna warm Daylyt up and shit like that. Us as a movement and a league and the organization as well as the fans we just gotta build up the confidence and see that he's on Real Nigga Time and he's coming to tear down the motherfuckin' URL stage for real for real," says Smack.
T-Rex and Smack have also apparently settled their differences. In a recent interview with Rap Grid, T-Rex faulted URL for the way he was treated after his loss to Charlie Clips at SM4.
Acquiring the Rex vs. Danny Myers battle is a small coup for URL. It was supposed to happen at last month's Black Ice Cartel-hosted "Battle On Olympus," but Rex failed to appear at the Milwaukee event, saying that he was locked up. Fans have been watching the match-up closely because of the $12,000 advance Danny paid Rex out of his own pocket to secure the battle.
