The reviews are in for URL's first major West Coast event and they are positive across the board. Even the cancellation of the headline battle a few days before the event didn't seem to impact the turnout or the atmosphere, with all of the other battlers bringing fire.
BattleRap.com correspondent The Deadman spoke with Smack White at the end of the night to get his thoughts on the West Coast, the Meek Mill/Drake beef, the league's upcoming "Summer Madness 5" and to chat about Smack's iconic facial hair.
"I just felt that it was necessary that the West Coast get a chance to experience the URL feel for really what it is," Smack says.
Separately, event co-organizer Aspect One also recapped the day for The Deadman. Aspect has been involved in throwing battle events on the West Coast for years, and was a KOTD Fresh Coast staff member before parting ways with them and linking up with URL.
