Shotty Horroh vs. Charlie Clips Set For "7th Birthday Weekend"

The first main event is announced for Don't Flop's November birthday.

Don't Flop has dropped the first headline battle for its "7th Birthday Weekend" event, which goes down on back-to-back weekends in Leeds on Nov. 7 and in London on Nov. 14-15. This main event will be part of the London festivities at Ministry Of Sound.

This match-up has been on the books for several months already, and actually pits the top emcees from the U.K. and North America, at least according to BattleRap.com's 2014 Awards from earlier this year.

We reached out to DF co-founder Eurgh via Facebook for some insight on how the match came together. Here's what he wrote:

Shotty and Charlie were voted #1 in a worldwide battle rap poll, plus it's a battle people have always requested. There aren't too many people Shotty wants anymore and Clips actually excited him. As far as Clips, he just wanted to come back and wow the London fans like he did in 2013.

Shotty's calendar is relatively free from announced battles right now, but Clips has a busy schedule to round out the year, with announced match-ups against John John Da Don on Oct. 18, Big Kannon on Nov. 21, Gemini on Dec. 6 and the most pressing match-up, against Loaded Lux at URL's "Summer Madness 5" this weekend (Sept. 26).

UPDATE: The league went back to back with announcements today, also dropping a flyer showing Oshea vs. Kid Twist.
