Charlie Clips says he didn't think Loaded Lux would bring up his father's criminal history in their battle at URL's "Summer Madness 5" in an interview with Doggie Diamonds.
“I didn’t think Lux would do it. I know Mook is the person that’ll really try to bring you down and get personal,” said Clips.
Clips says he'd expect Mook to take the angle if the two of them battled, since Mook has the reputation for breaking down his opponents, but says that he thought fellow Harlem rappers Lux and T-Rex would pass on the angle.
“I thought [Lux] was my nigga. I thought Rex was my nigga. That’s all I'ma say about that,” said Clips. "And like I said you gotta do what you gotta do to win. It ain’t no top prize so you ain’t gotta try to cut your man throat to get money.”
Charlie Clips said that at the end of the day, everybody is supposed to be getting money and make Harlem look good.
Clips' next battle is with Shotty Horroh in the U.K.
