Scenes From "Battle Of The Zae 5"

Dirtbag Dan and Counter Productive continued to put on for the West Coast last Saturday (Jan. 9) with the fifth edition of "Battle Of The Zae." The main draw was a six-man Royal Rumble that included a mix of new and old West Coast talent with Caustic, Cadalack Ron, Joe Cutter, Fredo, Z-Man and Frak.

The card also featured several tryout battles, as well as a spot-on match-up between Ncredable and Bill Collector. Reverse Live and Patron had battle of the night, and DOT apparently missed his flight, forcing the cancelation of his battle with Sam Kolt.

Also of note, Cadalack Ron slapped standout newcomer (and occasional BattleRap.com contributor) Frak in the Royal Rumble. We chatted with him on Facebook about what happened.

The Slap

BattleRap.com: What happened?

Frak: I was winning pretty good which may have played into it
But I was pointing to his hipster swoosh and accidentally tapped his hat
Then got slapped
Then rebuttaled it (like an idiot)

BR: How hard?

Frak: It didn't hurt but I'm hearing it looked hard

BR: Did you say the word galore in your rebuttal?
(Like Charron did after Shine slapped him)

Frak: No

BR: Ok good
And how did everyone else react?

Frak: Got super awkward
And my third sucked after it

BR: That sucks
What did Caddy say after?

Frak: He gave me a hug like 12 seconds after

BR: Haha

Frak: Then filmed an apology video
Where I got him to admit the holocaust happened

The Battles

Wyzdumb, who battled on the undercard, wrote a full recap of the event on RMBVA. Here's what he said about Reverse Live vs. Patron, billed as the night's best battle.

Patron had a very very very good performance this time around. He went for it. Reverse had the punch of the battle that shook the room I was walking in circles shaking my head after his "complex" line. I'll let y'all check it. for me this was battle of the night. I need to view this match a few times when it drops. good shit!!
